| dc.description.abstract | The Palestinian-Israeli conflict has been at the centre of the world agenda for many years, starting with the efforts of the Jews to establish the State of Israel, and has deep historical roots. This problem is not only a regional conflict, but has become an important component of international relations and global peace. The book ‘The Changing World and the Palestinian-Israeli Question’ by Fatma Kevser Kaplan deals with this complex problem and analyses the Palestinian-Israeli problem chronologically, starting from the period before the establishment of Israel to the present day. In the first part of the book, the developments until the establishment of Israel on 14 May 1948 are discussed. In addition, historical events such as the territorial losses suffered by the Palestinian people, the end of the Ottoman rule in the Middle East, the beginning of British control over the region and the birth of Zionism are analysed in detail. The second part of the book ‘The Changing World and the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict’ deals in detail with the political developments and the wars between Palestine and Israel. In this part; the origins of the conflict, the strategies of the parties, important wars and their effects on the political balances in the region are analysed. | |
