About the Author: Paul Lindholdtcame of age in and around the Salish Sea. A professor of English at Eastern Washington University, he has won recognition from the Academy of American Poets, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Washington Center for the Book for his ecological memoir In Earshot of Water: Notes from the Columbia Plateau(University of Iowa Press, 2011). He applied ecocriticism to a wide variety of cultural texts in Explorations in Ecocriticism(Lexington Books, 2015). In 2018, he published two books,Making Landfalland The Spokane River.
