Özet

This study is aimed to measure the level of knowledge about transmission pathways and risk factors of bloodborne diseases such as Hepatitis A Virus (HAV), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) a questionnaire survey questioning their attitudes towards infected illnesses, their awareness of these factors and their knowledge of measures in the higher education institution A total of 243 students, 175 female and 68 male, participated in the survey. In the first part, which measures the knowledge level of the questionnaire, 20 questions about HAV, HBV, HCV, HIV transmission pathways and risk factors were asked and evaluated on 80 points. 32 of the 243 students (13.6%) had a score between 0 and 39, and the level of knowledge was considered inadequate. 91 students (37.44%) were found to be partially adequate with a score of 40-59 points and the remaining 120 students (49.38%) were found to have a sufficient knowledge level of 60 and over. Of these students, 15.16% (n = 32) were graduated from health vocational high school and the rest (84.80%, n = 211) were other high school graduates. When the educational status of the parents is examined, 28.39% of the parents of the students are primary school graduates and 42.37% are graduates of an educational institution of 8 years or more. When the locations where the students live are evaluated, it is seen that the density is in the province center with 52.26%. The way in which students learn about the ways in which these diseases are transmitted and protected has also been investigated, and the most common source of information has been found to be lessons in school, newspaper-TV and family-friend environment (29.2%). In the second part of the questionnaire, in order to be able to create awareness of these diseases, it is important that the patient education provides information, the school provides the students with information about these factors, whether they find their knowledge level satisfactorily, whether they are satisfied with the illness, opinions were received from students. In addition, the school has also been questioning the level of awareness and awareness of the relevant staff and the staff on the part of the school in terms of teaching staff and training material. The knowledge level of 49,38% of the vocational high school students participating in the questionnaire was found adequate for these diseases and it was determined that 58,43% of HAV and 70,78% of the students had HBV vaccination before the school education period in order to protect the students from these viral factors. I know 76.90% of the way to know how to protect the answer was taken. The students find that the measures, educational resources and instructors provided by the school on blood-borne diseases are sufficient. In addition, the practice relies on the level of knowledge of health personnel working on the ground and sees itself adequately in terms of precautions that can be taken in the field of work. However, the number of students who are hesitant or hesitant to serve infected diseases with these factors is noteworthy. The opinion that the students participate at the highest level is that the patients should be trained for these diseases. As a result, the accessibility of information resources and the flow of information in education and health institutions, supporting each other, reach a young population, giving a positive impetus to the awareness of such diseases. Another factor that increases the level of knowledge is that students from the foundation school have a specific socioeconomic and cultural background.
