Yabancı Uyruklu Öğrencilerle Çalışan Psikolojik Danışmanların Öz Yeterlilikleri İle Çok Kültürlülük Algıları Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul psikolojik danışmanlarının çok kültürlülük algıları ile psikolojik danışma öz yeterlikleri arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Türkiye’nin farklı bölgelerinde görev yapan 209 okul psikolojik danışmanı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri “Çok Kültürlülük Algı Ölçeği” ve “Psikolojik Danışma Öz Yeterlik Ölçeği” aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde “t testi”, “Kruskal Wallis testi”, “Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Analizi testi” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları incelendiğinde okul psikolojik danışmanlarının çok kültürlülük algıları psikolojik danışma öz yeterliği toplam puanı ve tüm alt boyutlarıyla pozitif yönlü anlamlı ilişkiye sahiptir. Buna ek olarak okul psikolojik danışmanlarının çok kültürlülük algıları yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin kültürleri hakkında bilgi edinme isteğine göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşırken cinsiyet, görev yaptıkları kademe, yakın hissedilen psikolojik danışma kuramına, yabancı uyruklu öğrenciyle çalışma durumuna göre farklılaşmamaktadır. Ortaya çıkan sonuçlar alan yazın çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır.
Abstract: The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between school counselors’ perceptions of multiculturalism and their counseling self-efficacy. The sample of the study consists of 209 school counselors working in different regions of Turkey. The data of the study were collected through the “Multicultural Perception Scale” and “The Psychological Counseling Self-Efficacy Scale”. “T test, Kruskal Wallis test”, “Pearson Product Moments Correlation Analysis test” were used in the analysis of the data. When the findings of the study are examined, the multiculturalism perceptions of school counselors have a positive and significant relationship with the total score of counseling self-efficacy and all its sub-dimensions. In addition, while the multiculturalism perceptions of school counselors differ significantly according to the desire of foreign students to learn about their culture, they do not differ according to gender, level of work, counseling theory that is felt close, and having foreign students. The results are discussed within the framework of the literature.
