Özet
Historically, there have been a variety of religious and philosophical understandings of leisure, defined as structured activities during free time. Recreation has occasionally been viewed as a source of leisure and enjoyment, but it has also occasionally been viewed as idleness. Relief from stress, reduction of anxiety, and hope for resolution are often supported by religious activities. Similarly, people use leisure to reduce stress, improve mood, and promote physical and mental health. Religion and leisure are fascinating areas of research because they are similar in their emphasis on social and community functions and motivations for travel. Religious holidays such as Christmas and Easter have recreational qualities regardless of their religious or secular connotations, especially in modern society. Recreation is an important object of study because it improves the quality of people's lives and is an essential part of community life. This article examines the historical context of religion and leisure, highlighting their influence on mental and physical health and their significance for tourism.
