Yapay zekâ dünyayı değiştirirken dünyanın haritasını da yeniden çiziyor. Günlük hayatta yapay zekâyı, sohbet robotları, akıllı uygulamalar ve giderek daha yetenekli modeller üzerinden görüyoruz. Oysa bu görünür dünyanın arkasında başka bir coğrafya yükseliyor. Çip fabrikaları, veri merkezleri, enerji ağları, bulut altyapıları, küresel veri akışları, büyük yapay zekâ modelleri ve otonom ajanlardan oluşan devasa bir ekosistem. Bu yeni coğrafyanın merkezinde kimler var? Veriyi ve hesaplama gücünü kim kontrol ediyor? Neden bazı ülkeler, şirketler ve şehirler, yapay zekâ çağının merkezlerine dönüşürken diğerleri, geride kalıyor? Ve belki de en önemlisi: İnsan, makinelerin giderek daha fazla öğrendiği, ürettiği ve karar verdiği bu yeni coğrafyada nerede duruyor? Yapay Zekâ Coğrafyası Dijital Coğrafyanın Haritası kitabı, yapay zekâyı; ekonomiyi, jeopolitiği, toplumu, hukuku, eğitimi ve insanın geleceğini dönüştüren çok boyutlu bir olgu olarak ele alıyor. Kitap; çiplerden veri altyapılarına, yapay zekâ modellerinden otonom ajanlara, dijital egemenlikten yeni eşitsizlik biçimlerine kadar uzanan bu geniş alanın birbiriyle nasıl bağlantılı olduğunu ortaya koyuyor ve yapay zekâ çağının yeni coğrafyasını bütüncül bir bakışla açıklıyor. Dijital coğrafya sanıldığı kadar sınırsız ve mekânsız değil. Her modelin arkasında veri, enerji ve hesaplama gücü, bütün bunların arkasında ise kaynakları kontrol eden ülkeler, şirketler ve kurumlar var. Kayaya resmedilmiş bir aziz, iki bin yıllık bir reçetede adı geçen ot, asma dalından örülmüş bir halka, kapı üstüne asılan bir geven, çeşmeden akan su… Kimi bin yıl öncesinin, kimi bu senenin bilgileri. Hepsi bir iyileşme umudunun izi. Bildikleri sır değildir Anadolu’nun. Sorulmayınca kendiliğinden anlatmaz. Soranın niyetini anlarsa cömertçe paylaşır bildiklerini. Kaydedilmezse, bir gün unutulur gider. Şifa niyetine çıktık yola. A saint painted on rock, a plant in a two-thousand-year-old recipe, a ring woven of vine branches, a sprig of milkvetch hung above a door, water flowing from a fountain… Some of it a thousand years old, some of it from this year. All of it the trace of a hope for healing. What Anatolia knows is no secret. Unasked, it does not speak. But if it senses the intent of the one who asks, it gives freely of what it knows. If it goes unrecorded, one day it will be forgotten. We set out in the hope of healing.

An English Course in Language Speech Therapy and Audiology III

The Content-Based Language Teaching Approach -one of the effective methods frequently used in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses- and, in particular, the Topic-Based Teaching Model, aim to develop students’ language skills in professional and academic contexts by focusing on situations they will encounter in the real world. This approach assumes that language teaching must be tailored to the specific language and communication needs of individual students and that particular attention must be paid to the context in which they use English. The series of subject-specific English textbooks produced by the School of Foreign Languages at Cappadocia University has been developed to support students’ English reading skills—which they will need in their academic and professional lives—through reading passages adapted to their respective fields. The reading texts, vocabulary exercises, practical activities and key language structures provided for revision in the book are designed to develop students’ reading, comprehension, interpretation and communication skills in tandem. The numerous text analyses and vocabulary exercises enable students to understand the academic terminology and reading passages they encounter in their current academic lives. These books aim to serve as a guide for students and can be used as a reliable reference both during their university studies and after graduation.
