| dc.description.abstract | The rapid spread of internet use in today's digital world brings with it problems related to cyber threats and unethical behavior. In our daily life, we can perform almost all our transactions more quickly by accessing them online via digital platforms. With the change and development in information systems, information is increasing exponentially every day on the digital platform. The information represents one of the most important assets of an organization and becomes important in providing digital security both individually and institutionally. Sectors including private and public institutions operating in fields such as energy, communication, transportation, and health may be exposed to cyber-attacks from time to time. This is why computer security in the developing internet world is the most pressing concern for businesses and governments. Hacking is an expertise in any field that can be used for both ethical and unethical purposes. Situations experienced in security attacks in the cyber world can cause many problems in systems. While some use digital platforms legally, others can use them to steal or delete data from websites or databases, disrupt the system or take ransom by force without the owner's knowledge. Ethical hackers, also known as white hat hackers, protect against external attacks and aim to find and discover vulnerabilities in security systems. White hat hackers can act as an important shield in website, network, e-mail, password, and computer hacking by preventing attacks on the system. Therefore, ethical hackers provide legal security as hackers operating with good intentions. For this reason, it has become extremely important to apply an ethical hacking approach in preventing and combating cyber-attacks to ensure cyber security in institutions. | |
